On Thursday, August 25, 2016, at the CSB Envision6 Conference which took place in the beautiful and historic Bear Mountain Inn in Bear Mountain, NY. Baruch (Brian) Y. Greenwald & Hillel D. Weiss, Partners at Greenwald Weiss (“GW”), presented on the topic of estate planning involving irrevocable life insurance trusts (“ILIT”). The presentation followed an interactive question and answer format – a style that has become a GW trademark. Mr. Weiss posed questions that GW members regularly hear from clients and professionals in the insurance industry, as well as other questions which the attorneys believe are important for individuals advising clients about estate planning and life insurance policies. Mr. Greenwald expanded on the questions with insightful and relevant answers. The presentation was very well attended, and the participants, mostly insurance professionals, learned helpful tips from the presenters on how to identify potential legal issues and correctly advise clients facing similar dilemmas.
